Quest Passage 100 is a basic sit on top kayak that looks best suited to calmer water and casual use, with fishing pole holders and a simple layout that still feels like a solid value at the sale price. The 10 foot size is in the adult range, and the kayak is described as durable enough for long use. The main tradeoffs are that it does not include a paddle, the suggested paddle costs $45, and the seat clips have been reported to loosen. It may need a few small upgrades to feel truly comfortable.
New kayak anglers wanting a basic sit-on-top with rod holders, because it suits calmer water and can be upgraded into a more comfortable setup.
Adult paddlers with limited storage who still want a full-size kayak, because 10 feet is about the smallest practical adult length and inflatables cost more.
Heavy-duty users who want a kayak that feels refined out of the box, because the seat clips can get loose and the boat may need small comfort upgrades.
It's a basic sit-on-top kayak that should work well on calmer waters, and it includes fishing pole holders. It's also positioned as a lower-cost alternative to the Teton/Crosswater style kayaks, which add features like a framed seat and accessory rails.
No paddle is included, so you should budget for one separately. Dick's suggested paddle is listed at $45, which makes the kayak's sale price less complete than it first appears.
The Quest is similar in size and hull shape to the Tioga/Teton-style boats, but the Teton adds a better framed seat, dry storage, and accessory rails. The Quest/Tioga setup is cheaper by about $70 to $100, but you may still need to buy a paddle.
At about 10 feet, it is near the smallest practical adult kayak size, and it can still be awkward in tight storage or elevators. If space is a major concern, an inflatable may save room, but it usually costs more once you add fishing features and mounts.
The seat clips can reportedly get loose, which is a concern raised in reviews and may be part of why the kayak is discounted. That makes it a better buy if you're comfortable taking a chance at the sale price.
I see a lot of good reviews then a lot of BAD reviews regarding the seat clips getting loose... Might be the reason it's 50% but nor gonna lie I'm interested in trying at that price still... Anyone else use these in the past?
No experience with these, but I did pick the one with fishing pole holders for my son. For 50% off it's worth taking the chance I feel this is a really good price .

Probably the Teton or Crosswater. Teton is more of an "angler" version with a framed seat, both have pole holders and rails. They are $100 more than this one though.
Makes me wonder if I should even go pick up the Teton now https://www.dickssportinggoods.co...6&camp=EML

Well, pretty much the same boat, Lifetime makes Quest. Biggest difference would be the seat on the Teton likely being better, dedicated dry storage instead of open storage, and it has a cutout in the rear for a 5 gal bucket (not that you couldn't set one in the Tioga). The Teton does have accessory rails as well, whereas the Tioga just has the front rod holder, though those are easy enough to add later. I'd say you have to question if having that seat is worth the extra $70 or so (since you still have to buy a paddle). Both have about the same dimensions, same weight capacity, similar hull shape. Personally, I'd probably still go with the Teton if fishing was my primary goal, as I'm sure the paddle that comes with the Tioga is ̶j̶u̶n̶k̶ barely serviceable anyway.

That was super helpful!
Teton seems great though I think I underestimated how heavy and long it is.. might have to part ways with it as it's having trouble fitting in storage unit's elevator 😭 https://i.imgur.com/QDNXho1.png
