I just bought the 64GB Kindle Scribe Colorsoft. It didn't show the trade in offer but then I went to the regular non-primeday page and did the trade in of an old 2nd generation firestick. Once that was accepted I jumped back to the primeday 64GB colorsoft scribe bundle and added it to the cart. Knocked another 117.99 off the total. 589.97 - 117.99 trade in offer, minus Amazon chase points built up over the past 2 months.....127.12 for the 64gb, w/cover, kindle colorsoft. I can sell my old kindle scribe for about that price so essentially free. Normal bundle price $819.97. I'm done deal shopping for deal...no way I'm beating that kind of deal.

Depending on how your Chase points work, always better to put the purchase on your card and convert any points to straight cash. Otherwise, you lose out on 5% back on any $ covered by points

That is true however I like to think of it as my little slush fund / I deserve it line of cash. All our purchases go on it and I pay it off monthly so technically it doesn't cost me anything and if I find something on Amazon I want and I have the points for it then I consider it free to me.

Maybe head to stores that have recycling bins. I took five really old Kindle 7 and 8s there to recycle a while back. I suspect others may do the same. Might get lucky and can grab one. Just gotta hope it works as I think that's a requirement.
