Managed switches are designed with additional features that are geared for office/business environments where functionality like VLAN segmentation or port mirroring is common. Most home networks don't have a need for the additional features, which is why most consumers switches are unmanaged for simplicity. One feature this switch lacks is a SFP+ port, common with fiber gateway's.

Obviously you're incorrect, as some home users such as myself benefit from being able to transfer large data sets between workstation and server. Try to realize that not everyone conforms to your scenarios and has your needs. It's a big world out there.

Some people can also get away with just running shorter length cable runs and having a good terminal connector terminated properly. when it comes to POE though i wouldnt take any chances, last thing you want is a fire, get the correct rated quality ethernet wiring for PoE.

I know I will get downvoted into oblivion for this, but save your money. Pointless "upgrade" from gigabit unless you are throwing around HUGE amounts of data, like full system backups or copying huge files like BR rips. If you are a normal home user, you will never notice it. Does not make gaming "faster" or movie streaming "better". Hell most streaming devices only have a 100/FE port, IF they even have a physical port.

OH but you want to use the multi-gig internet your provider so happily will upgrade you to? Outside of speed benchmarks (and MAYBE a slight uptick in Steam downloads), you'll never see a difference.

Great point on the electricity use. iirc, this one is 0.9 watts with no ports occupied + 0.4 watt per port. A tiny bit better than my Horaco unit from AliExpress.
