EufyCam C37 is a motion triggered solar battery camera kit that fits home security setups best when you want wireless convenience and HomeBase storage. The cameras have a long track record of working well for some setups, and the app and recent updates have been fine in several cases. The main limits are missed motion, especially with fast movement or cameras mounted too high, and solar charging can be finicky if panels get dirty or poorly positioned. HomeBase Mini also appears to be a budget tradeoff, with microSD support up to 1 TB and no hard drive option, making it a practical pick if those constraints fit.
Common Questions (5)
Some setups have had update-related problems, including cameras stopping after app updates and difficult support interactions. Others report years of use with no update issues, so reliability appears to depend on the device, phone, and setup.
Yes. Motion detection can miss movement, especially on cameras mounted high, in busy areas, or when the cameras are too close to other Wi‑Fi devices causing packet drops.
It is motion-triggered rather than true continuous recording. Solar and battery cameras like this generally cannot do continuous capture, so fast-moving events can be missed.
It can keep the camera charged, but placement matters a lot. Panels can glaze over and lose efficiency, and some setups need cleaning or repositioning to maintain charge, especially if the panel is shaded or poorly angled.
The HomeBase Mini uses microSD storage only, up to 1TB. Hard drives are not an option, which is the main tradeoff versus higher-end HomeBase setups.

Another issue is having the cameras too close to other wifi devices like routers. You will see packet drops until you space them adequately apart.
What else am I missing on why these are... less than the other options?
