I got one as a kit for my older f150 and it's crazy how good these things are for how cheap they are. Mine fits flush but even so. Integrated fully with the backup camera, maps, android auto,etc. Works better than the system in my wife's 50k car for $100 which is crazy.

You mean to stream audio, netflix and youtube?

Those are called android tablets and have slightly better audio unless you are streaming to bluetooth speakers. At least with a tablet you can use something like the grayjay app to use youtube w/out ads.

Sounds convenient, just get a nice inverter, or car battery and car battery charger to store under your sink to power it. You can mount the camera in your fridge to monitor your food. You'll be set to get navigation from the sink to the couch!

Note, you can't use the separate youtube/netflix apps while using wireless android auto. You'll have to turn off android auto and turn on your phone's hotspot. Or use it while parked and turn on your phone's hotspot. Or get a separate wifi hotspot.

Android Auto will let you watch youtube while not moving but you'll need Android 17 which only just came out for Pixel phones 2 days ago. Other phones should eventually get it. You can only use background audio with youtube premium w/ that also.

But if you don't have android/carplay at all in your car you have to get something like this.

Your phone interfaces with this screen. Only audio goes to your stereo. Either Bluetooth or aux input to the oem stereo. it also has built in speakers but they're very small/tinny/weak. might work fine for navigation but sounded worse than a phone speaker for audio IMO

The resolution (1920x720) is 8:3 and yet the screen ratio is 4:3? I'd say the spec'd resolution is false.

I'm using a 9in haudio unit from shein that has been perfect for the 3 months I've been using it.
