I own the the 60V blower and trimmer when they were on clearance from Home Depot. The 60V has more power then the 40V without the cost of the 80V. It has enough battery power to do my entire yard (I have an acre). The batteries are fairly quick to charge.
My cons with this set is that the trimmer is not changeable and so far I cannot find a compatible replacement string head.

Is this a better deal than the 80v system at Costco for $199?

I have this exact set and agree with everything you said, except the trimmer.

What exactly do you mean with "the trimmer is not changeable and so far I cannot find a compatible replacement string head"?

I have replaced the string multiple times without issue. I used this video as a guide:

The string is easily replaceable. I have had both of these for years and they are top notch.

I would go with the Costco version. The 80V is more widely available and little more power. The only negative is weigh of the battery.

I have had the 60V self propelled mower, dual fast charger, trimmer and blower with single charger and three 4Ah battrries for 5 years now
1/4 acre and it used to take 1.5 charges to mow, trim and blow. Now it takes about 2 full batteries of charge. You don't want the glass to get too tall or the mower can struggle unless you do two cuts and then it leaves lots of grass. I mulch as the bag is small and fills way too fast. Not letting grass get to tall is key.
I love the tools and would never go back to gas. The trimmer uses .6 standard trim line and the dual fast charger is a great time saver when I need just a little more juice to get things done. I have never needed the single charger.
My daughter has the Ryobi 40V and it struggles and is not the quality of the Greenworks IMHO.
Just check the price of replacement batteries between 60V and 80V because you will need them eventually. It's usually cheaper to get a bundle than to buy individually.
Hope this helps.

I'm 99% sure the 80v was on clearance for $179.97 at my local Costco.

Trimmer head. It is a bump head to advance the trim line string. It wears out with all the beating on the ground. The plastic head is hard to replace, or at least I haven't found one yet.
