The apps are cool but if you need to jump into those or use your voice just to turn them on, they become tedious. The Hues work cause their remote/hub are responsive so it's simple for non techies in the house to regularly use them.
The Govee buttons I've used so far all suck in terms of responsiveness so these lights just end up being more annoying than their worth imo

I actually started using standard floor lamps or designing/making my own 3d printed fixtures and using their bulbs with plug in hanging light cords as the price per lumen on some of their stuff is crazy high. Like, their floor lamp 2 is 1700 lumens and $100. You can just buy a two pack of 1600 lumen bulbs for $36 and a $20-30 floor lamp to stick them in. Then you end up with something that has replaceable bulbs instead of being a throwaway item.

These pendant lights replaced two over the kitchen island traditional lighting and wow, impressive. The two tone color combined with multiple layers of LEDs make for an impressive lighting setup. My only concerns are: 1) Housing is entirely plastic, which I am not sure how it will do over time especially for point 2) Not sure how cleaning will be. With the glass one, soap, water and scrub daddy always did the trick given it eventually gets hazy from cooking and oils / dust. This may be a bit challenging to clean.
Yes, I don't understand the lumens on some of their stuff 😂 They have a 15" ceiling light that's $90 and 4300 lumens, the new 21" one is $200 and only slightly more lumens at 5000. Have wanted to get something super bright to replace my old hanging 5 bulb fixture over my stairs.
