I only paid $17 last August from the same seller. Bullseye jacked up their prices big time this year (I've bought almost 200 orders from them over the last 4 years, but slowed down since these aren't bargains anymore- compared to Target's clearance)

Is this "popular"/that price because of retro look?

Maybe I'm alone here but these look hideous, and I'd expect to find them at the dollar store individually, and the highest price I'd pay for them.

Maybe I'm missing something, so moving along, but it made me wonder.

The Han Solo figure doesn't look anything like him. A lot of the figures aren't even the main or well known characters.

Move along. These aren't the action figures you are looking for.

(fyi 3d printing these would make sense if you are into it. Then you'd have a win for two different hobbies at same time)

"Retro". The only thing to come off a figure in the old Darth Vader helmet storage box is Yoda/Jawa robes and Leah cloaks. No removable helmets. Plus weapons and the Yoda snake.

Basically, yes. I believe they are direct reproductions of the original figures, which also looked like ass.

First, the original figures were made by Kenner toys, not Hasbro. Second, the Han Solo looks nothing like it. Third, the figures kids collected were obviously Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Darth Vader, Chewbacca, C3PO, and maybe a storm trooper.

You have one main character in this set that looks a little right - Luke. Pay 3 times more and get a 3d printer, and teach your child a usable skill while making better figures.

FYI - to borrow from Mark Twain a bit, in remembering how kids played. Kids role play(ed) these movies. You need the main characters to do it. kenobi died off. R2D2 just makes beeping noises, and hardly does anything. Chewbacca doesn't speak either, but at least he can tear the other action figures to shreds, that's always fun, etc.

As a boy, I would have hated getting figures (like) "dr evazan" and "walrus man". Totally useless to play the main characters. And Han Solo looks like the body build of a thick football player in this set.

Pathetic retro.
" Preface to The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (1876). Mark Twain
"Although my book is intended mainly for the entertainment of boys and girls, I hope it will not be shunned by men and women on that account, for part of my plan has been to try to pleasantly remind adults of what they once were themselves, and of how they felt and thought and talked, and what queer enterprises they sometimes engaged in."

4 times the sales price of this deal, and 2 times the regular price, and sounds a lot more fun as an adult - and with your children if you have them. Takes more work on your part though. Just a way of price comparison, I could do this or This with the money. As a boy, I can recall a lot of real world activities like this that came from movies - a way that sparks interest.

Well I was considering if I should get the action figures because I figured my 13 year old would like them but maybe not play with them. You convinced me, for relatively not much more why not tap in to unlimited hobbies. I've considered 3d printers before but wasn't sure if i should get AMS and what level to buy in at. Thanks for the info and push to do it.

These figures seem kinda generic, no? And tiny? Questioning whether they can even be played with..
