Don't buy those bulbs. The recent reviews clearly indicate they are junk.

Their other products are fine, but not their bulbs.

Does Tapo require a subscription for cloud video/to watch playback after an event trigger happens? (Wyze gives me a notification but when I click on it, it just shows me a static photo of when the alarm triggered)

I don't know about that model but generally no. You can record to a sim card and you get a notification either way. You can view live feed but you can only review the captured event if it was stored on a sim card or if you subscribe to their cloud. You can also use the rtsp or onivf feeds I don't remember which maybe both and connect it to a selfhosted nvr if you want.

But again that's for their other products not sure about this one, but I think it should be the same.

I have the Tapo C210 camera and wouldn't buy it again. Reviews show the image quality is actually worse than the 1080p C200...the guess is it's due to the additional compression employed for 2K resolution. And there are much newer/better Tapo cameras than these that I got when on sale.

What were the newer/better Tapo cameras that you got instead?

I use my C210's with Blue Iris but they are not 100% reliable. Pretty good, but sometimes they go super fuzzy.
