I got the Vornado non-tilt version of this box fan (currently the same price as this one on Amazon). It move significantly more air (~3000cfm vs ~1700cfm), is almost double the weight, but is quite a bit louder at its lowest setting. The Vornado does feel much more solidly built, but I do think many of the interior bits are still mostly plastic. Vornado warranties this model for five years, and I've never had a problem with them honoring that with my other fans from them.
Community Reviews
This Vornado box fan is built for strong airflow and useful tilt control, with five speeds and a built in angled leg that helps direct the breeze. It moves far more air than a basic box fan, but that comes with more noise, especially on the highest setting. The solid feel and five year warranty add confidence, though the electronic push button controls, lack of a remote, and reports of squeaks or early failure are real drawbacks. A powerful, no frills fan if you want output over quiet operation.
