Obligatory mention that this is for the Standard plan where you only have access to your audiobooks as long as you have a current membership. By contrast, the Premium Plus plan lets you keep the audiobooks you buy with a credit even if you cancel. However, if you buy something with the $20 credit, that should still be accessible if you cancel.

May be better to just join a local library, loan out audio books from there.

Some of the books I want to listen to aren't available from my regional library system or from the free Hoopla service. i only use Audible for those.
