If anyone is deciding between this and the 30W single port deal on newegg, the 30W is half the weight and has folding prongs.

I bought one hoping it will work to charge a MacBook Air.

On dual-port use, the 40W is shared between devices (so speeds drop when both are plugged in), and you'll only get full fast charging with a good USB-C PD cable. Also, GaN chargers like this run cooler and more efficiently than older silicon bricks, which helps longevity. Great deal for travel or a minimalist desk setup.

Yea I think the downside of this is no folding prongs

it should if you use only one port. The original apple brick for my MacBook Air m1 is 33W. This one is 40W. If you use 2 port at once, the power may split out

Just a heads up, 40W is shared across both ports, so speeds drop when both are used. Still solid for travel though.
