The button included with this pack is not Matter compatible and only appears to work with the AiDot app. The button comes pre-paired to the bulbs, and the instructions for unpairing/pairing to specific bulbs are nearly useless but I figured it out so I will try to explain here for anyone else struggling with this.
This can all be done without the AiDot app, I set all of my bulbs up through Google Home and can also use the button with them after setting it up.
- To unpair a light I performed the factory reset instructions (shut the bulb off and on 6+ times until it goes through the red-blue-green colors and then pulses twice, which means the bulb is now in pairing mode).
- Next, I added the bulbs to my Google Home by scanning the matter code on the bulb.
- Now to pair the button to specific bulbs (you may want to factory reset the button first by opening the battery compartment and holding down the reset button if this step doesn't work). Click the button three times until it starts flashing a red light. Go to your bulb you wish to link and turn it off and back on. After a moment it the light bulb should pulse twice and the button should stop flashing. Test the button out and see if it can control the bulb.
- repeat the previous step with any bulbs you want to link, making sure to triple click the button to enter pairing mode each time. The button should now control a group of bulbs.

Note: Amazon promo codes don't always apply seamlessly. If you run into this issue, try refreshing the page, re-entering the code, or checking after you select a payment method to confirm whether it already applied.

I wonder if I'm going to regret that with Prime Day coming.
