Yes, I need a knife from a company I have never heard of with 20 Amazon reviews. Tested in the Peruvian Amazon, which, also fortunately, is identical to my Midwest environment. Plastic sheath included; knife scales are extra. Best, this company makes axes, which means they may always be on the FP here
Izula are very well known in the knife world and are generally well respected for their products. IIRC, there's some drama around ownership - or was years ago - as is oft the case with personality driven hobbies like EDC, but I don't remember the details because I don't care about that sort of thing.
The knives are great. This deal not so much. It's not even the low price in the 90 day price tracking history.

I can't say anything about this particular knife, but ESEE is legit and popular in the knife community.
I can, however, say you can pretty much ignore any SD staff post about knife deals.

Ah, staff posting. Those who shill strange, and increasingly Chinese-made, Klein tools, axes of all brands, and all things Cold Steel
They just shill whatever they can work out a deal for. Most of the time they aren't deals, and you should do your own research before buying.
Not all China-made products are bad. China can make good stuff when someone tells them to. The gamut is so wide that it can be hard to know what's actually good.

Yes, the quality of Chinese-made goods varies, like elsewhere. However, most of the Klein and Cold Steel sourced Chinese products were moved there for cost, not quality

I got it when it was $36 but this is close, if someone doesn't want to score absolute best price.

Izula is the specific knife model, not the brand. ESEE is the brand. The products are made by Rowen Manufacturing in Idaho and have a no questions asked replacement policy. So far, my favorite hard-use survival style knives and machetes are ESEE. Unfortunately, there are a ton of Chinese clones, so I would be cautious of buying from a non-authorized retailer. Not sure who the seller is in this case, but be aware of the possibility.
