Seeing this after purchasing one today. Good deal after a bit of price checks. AC went out in Az so I desperately needed something to cool part of the house for us and the dogs. Using in the master bedroom, wish I had gone with the bigger unit, but the bedroom is bigger than the 250 sq ft it is made for. This would work great in a smaller room or in a house that had working AC.

If you think about purchasing one of these, check the amp draw. This one is 11 amps and I needed it in a bedroom with a 15 amp breaker. It kept tripping the breaker so we will be returning it

That's almost 1,300 watts. Most 6,000 BTU is about 600 watts are you sure you bought a 6k BTU?

A 6K BTU window unit might draw 600 watts. Not a single hose portable though.
