I passed chemistry in highschool by saving the periodic table of elements as phone numbers in this watch. Wore it with the face under my wrist so I could easily scroll through the elements without the teacher seeing my stating at my wrist. Stupid curriculum having kids memorize the periodic table instead of actually understanding it.

I wish they would make this with a backlight.

The same reason as we have calc in mobile. Back then it was so cool.

"The Casio CA53WF-3B does not store phone numbers or calendar events. [1, 2]" Don't think it makes sense to call it data bank when it doesn't retain data, it's just a calculator watch.

Not me remembering 35 years ago this was the shizzle and you were elite in school if you had this watch.

The original response to a math teacher saying "you won't always have a calculator with you".

It's easier to memorize if you understand it's structure.

I had and OG version of this watch in the 80s and it had blister buttons instead of physical buttons. I had to use a pen to press the numbers and ended up ripping the membrane off after a lot of cheat...I mean "use" in math class.

Agreed. This is nothing at all like the OG Data Bank watch.

I remember having to hold the Data Bank watch sensor up in front of the CRT screen while patterns of lights and lines flashed on the screen as it "programmed" the watch with all your phone numbers and such.

Don't get me wrong. I had a Casio calculator watch when I was a kid. I thought I was so awesome at the time. 🤣

I have the beige version of this. Can hardly press the tiny buttons. The inverted display is very difficult to read. Also the strap is a bit short but ok for 7" wrist. Buy it for the looks i guess.

See, that is the issue. Ai is not calculating anything, it's just memorizing
