Not all of these are 4K. The first one is a Director's Cut version and that is in HD. 2,3,4 are in 4K.

Not all of these are 4K. The first one is a Director's Cut version and that is in HD. 2,3,4 are in 4K.

I already own Expendables 1 and 2...3 is...watchable but 4 is a farking abomination. It's not even with it at $2.50 per movie for me.

I think he's pointing out the Extended Director's Cut doesn't have a 4K release, only the theatrical version does. Apple can't upgrade it since a 4K version doesn't exist. If it were the Theatrical Release, that one indeed has a 4K release.

That's unfortunately quite common, where the studio doesn't bother to release a 4K version of Directors Cut / Extended / Final Cut versions of films. Sometimes it's because 4K material isn't available for the additional content, but often it's because they don't think they'll sell enough copies to justify the cost to remaster another release.
