Attempt 1:
I ordered a $200 gc, got the "thanks for your purchase" screen, followed a minute later by a cancellation email. "Unable to Complete your Lowe's Online Gift-Card Order: #"
Attempt 2:
I placed a new order for a $200 gc but instead of "self-deliver" I put in myself into the recipient using my gmail with an extra period to differentiate it from my account email. This time, I received a text asking if I'd made the purchase at Lowe's. I responded "Y" and a minute later I got an email confirmation followed quickly by the two e-gift card emails. I used the same credit card for both attempts and only changed 2 things:
1) delivering to a recipient instead of self-deliver, and
2) omitting the "1" in front of my billing card phone number (so instead of 1-xxx-xxx-xxxx, I entered xxx-xxx-xxxx)
Given that the order was followed by a confirmation text, I suspect change #2 may have made the difference since I didn't get a text like that for my first order. If this doesn't help and you weren't logged into a Lowe's account, I'd try logging into Lowes as well.
