Someone was saying they would want an X3D CPU so here is a deal for that. Slightly higher than the 9700X deal. Maybe it's worth it to someone to pay the extra $ to upgrade from 9700X to 9800X3D

This is a different base config - you must do it here to get this CPU.

This deal STACKS with EPP for an extra 3% off to get to $4119.74
- make sure you login with EPP.

OMEN MAX 45L Gaming Desktop PC - GT23-0100m

Start here: https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/cus...5622204820
  • Add 5090 GPU
  • Add 1200W PSU upgrade
  • Check out
  • Enter coupon SUMMERDEAL for 25% off. Don't forget to stack with EPP.

Upon checkout my price is $4119.74 (I think this is EPP extra discount? IDK). Incognito is $4,259.99. I dunno man, hope you guys can get the better price.

Listed price $5,492.99 --- for some reason I have an extra 3% so not sure if this is YMMV as I see this on the page SAVE $187.00 (3%)

If you want cheapest entry price to get a 5090 then this one is $4072.49 here with 9700X CPU instead of 9800X3D.

That is a crazy price only back in Feb I think. I'd buy 10 if I had a Time Machine and resell them all each batch. lol

$3000?? my god crazy...
  • April $3500 - when I realized I need to use a 5090 - 9700X/32GB/1TB
  • May $3700 - I benchmark each purchase down to a 32GB 1TB config to see how close I am from $3500 deal. Legion purchase was $4175 with 64GB/2TB, -$300 -$100. Got my Legion here. Then I got another Omen with 9900X3D 64GB/4TB. $4700 -$300 - $300 makes it around $4100 price. I think CPU is worth $200 more? idk then it would be a $3900 equiv. I think I am treating cost of 32GB and 1TB too low but it's what I think I can get if I sell the parts so I keep the those numbers low.
  • June $3900 for the best entry price for a 5090 / 32GB / 1TB. 9700X/32TB/1GB (10% more than my May deal but I am not sure we'll get there again so buying it 2 then figure it out later). People in my circles are getting some great PC upgrades for cheap on the spare parts.

The trend is going up every month, buy it till it doesn't make any sense. Maybe BF deals will get to the $3500 but it does not look good if the rate of increase is $200 a month on 5090/32GB/1TB from what I am observing. or BF deal has so little quanity that you can't get one anyway.

Someone is buying them each time so demand is strong and I don't see price coming down as they have no need to do so. Nvidia will make les sand less consumer gear as there is just more margin on the data center size so supply will be constrained and maybe it will hit $5000. I am not sure if I wanna pre-buy so many and hoping for higher arbitrage.

I've done a lot of my own dd on 5090 price deals to see if I can buy and do something with them, use, sell, upgrade someone else's PC gear (the non-GPU parts) etc.

It's still a really great price for this build all things considered when you look at recent retail prices on the 5090. Buying all of the rest of the components new and bundled, you're still looking at 1-1.1k on top of the GPU which is likely settling around 3.8k from a retailer as the cheapest option for the rest of the year (or higher).

If I was someone JUST looking for a GPU right now, I'd just wait to see if I can snag a Super FE at MSRP directly from NVIDIA or wherever else will offer them (prob just Best Buy?). Otherwise, a Zotac open box 4080 super for 800 or a 9070xt for 600 is where I'd sit until I can get my hands on ANY FE at MSRP as a gamer.

With how crazy these prices have gotten, I opted to not keep a 5090 as a fairly casual gamer. I'm fine with my current card having 60% of the performance at 20% of the price.

I have a 5080 for my main pc that I got lucky with during the original launch, and just snagged two 5060ti 16gb from Best Buy at 300$ a pop for my home LLM bench, but otherwise I'd still have been sitting on my 3080, it's brutal. I would love a 5090 FE but it appears to be impossible

Wow, $300 for the 5060ti 16gb is crazy good.

What do you mean you're sitting on your 3080? If you have a 5080, what are you using the 3080 for? lol

When I look at release history, it seems like Nvidia hasn't pushed out the FEs directly from their website at a rate that would even average once a month since launch. That's definitely part of the problem. Hard to have an opportunity to snag one when you have very few chances to even get in line.

And Best Buy has been garbage for me. Every single time I waited in their stupid queue and made it to the next step it would just spin and spin and spin and do absolutely nothing. I didn't even get the courtesy of a time out.

As in got lucky with getting the 5080 from a Best Buy launch shortly after launch, otherwise I would have still been on the 3080But yeah - have you tried the app HotStock? That's how I got the 5080

I don't seem to get push alerts from them but I also have primarily been watching the FEs. I just tweaked it yesterday oddly enough to notify me of ANY 5090s and even followed its test alert (which did alert via browser at least) but still no pushes or emails

hotstock? I didn't sign up yet. I might just run some monitoring agents myself against the actual website but usually I need to see a working page to confirm parsing lol. Oh well. I check HP and Lenovo since I have been trying cheap prebuilt the most.
