USB is NOT an option with this sync module. You need a different sync module. I have two other comments in this thread regarding it, and I am an actual Blink owner and have had both types of sync modules.

If I have the sync module 2, would they work?
I know that Blink 4 cameras work with the Sync Model 2 from experience and I just asked Alexa if the newest model 2k is compatible and it's telling me yes.
I even inquired "Is the 2k doorbell that I just purchased compatible with the Sync Model 2 that I already have and will it record video events?" and Alexa is telling me that it is.
Regardless, the price is too good for me to pass up so I got a set for about $30 shipped; thanks OP. I find Blink cameras useful for monitoring occasionally appliances and infrequently visited areas like sump pumps, water heaters, oil fuel tank levels and cellars. Saves my lazy ars a trip down to the basement at least

It requires a subscription if you want to record clips without a Sync Module 2. You can still use it without recording clips. The module is currently $50. I have had a Blink system for years with no subscription, and I record clips via local USB.

Requires subscription
It requires a subscription to record clips. You can use it without recording. Or, you can scrap this module a buy a Sync Module 2. Then you can record clips locally via USB drive.
The title suggest it will have 3 items, the door bell, the camera and the sync module? The sync module makes it so it doesn't require sub and can store locally in that?

The core does not, it connects to the cameras which then relays to the internet and stored on the cloud (if you are grandfathered in or subscribe) otherwise you can only view your cameras live.
I have SUPER old one from like 7 years ago and that did not require subscription. But I think they changed the terms so that maybe new ones do require subs?
Pros: Long battery life. I think mine's been running for like 2 years on a location with minimum movements. Can install it almost anywhere with your wifi without running cables through walls.
Cons: Not a continuous recording. I think 30 seconds max recording and then there is a cooldown period. If something you want to record happens between captures, it's gone.

Blink has one of the cheapest subscriptions out there and no need for one either with the Sync Module 2. Also the subscription is up to 10 cameras per mod. I have close to 25 cameras on our house and airbnbs. $12 a month for 25 cameras is a great deal.
What are good no drill mounting options for outdoor camera on stucco walls? I paid $50 back in May for hd camera but I needed it fast because it was for a vacation home and I had to set it up since I was visiting short time period

Sync Module Core : No Local Storage
Sync Module 2 : Local Storage w/USB 2.0 port
Sync Module XR : Local Storage w/MicroSD slot
If this is Sync Module Core, then it requires cloud subscription.

I don't see any requirement to subscribe.
