Nothing in the subscription is necessary. Everything works and functions on all cameras without it.
I have currently 12 blink cameras a mixture of outdoor, blink minis, door bell trust me I'm not paying for anything to use them. I've been using blink for over 5 years now.
the one feature that comes with a subscription that makes me want to get it is the continuous playback which links videos from all your cameras into one playback reel. that part is actually cool but still not worth it for me to subscribe lol. I just enjoy it for the trial period whenever I add a camera.
You could order 5 then return the doorbells and effectively pay $75 for the 5 camera pack that goes for $104.
