Community Reviews
Blink Outdoor 4 and the Battery Doorbell 2K+ are best for simple, battery powered monitoring of hard to reach spots like basements, crawlspaces, and occasional appliance checks. The cameras are praised for long battery life and flexible placement, and the doorbell can ring an existing chime through the app. The main catch is storage and alerts, since this bundle's included Sync Module Core is cloud only and recording clips or getting full features requires a subscription. Sync Module 2 works for local USB recording, but it is not included here.
Common Questions (5)
No. The included Sync Module Core does not support local USB or microSD storage, so it cannot record clips locally; for local recording you need a Sync Module 2 with USB or a Sync Module XR with microSD.
Yes, the cameras can be used without a subscription for live viewing and basic operation. The subscription mainly adds cloud recording, person detection, notification labeling, extended view, and other advanced features.
Yes, cloud clip storage requires a Blink subscription after the 30-day trial. Without a subscription, you can still view live video, but recording clips to the cloud is not available.
Yes. The Outdoor 4 works with Sync Module 2, and the 2K doorbell is also reported as compatible, so you can use an existing Sync Module 2 instead of the included Core module.
It is battery-powered, so it cannot be powered by existing doorbell wiring alone. The app can be set to ring your existing chime, and some setups also hard-wire the doorbell for power.
