USB is NOT an option with this sync module. You need a different sync module. I have two other comments in this thread regarding it, and I am an actual Blink owner and have had both types of sync modules.
Blink Outdoor 4 and the Battery Doorbell 2K+ are best for simple, battery powered monitoring of hard to reach spots like basements, crawlspaces, and occasional appliance checks. The cameras are praised for long battery life and flexible placement, and the doorbell can ring an existing chime through the app. The main catch is storage and alerts, since this bundle's included Sync Module Core is cloud only and recording clips or getting full features requires a subscription. Sync Module 2 works for local USB recording, but it is not included here.
Existing Blink system owners, because the bundle can pair with a Sync Module 2 and fit into an already installed setup.
Shoppers expecting to use the doorbell on existing wiring alone, because the unit is battery-powered and cannot be powered from standard doorbell wiring.
No. The included Sync Module Core does not support local USB or microSD storage, so it cannot record clips locally; for local recording you need a Sync Module 2 with USB or a Sync Module XR with microSD.
Yes, the cameras can be used without a subscription for live viewing and basic operation. The subscription mainly adds cloud recording, person detection, notification labeling, extended view, and other advanced features.
Yes, cloud clip storage requires a Blink subscription after the 30-day trial. Without a subscription, you can still view live video, but recording clips to the cloud is not available.
Yes. The Outdoor 4 works with Sync Module 2, and the 2K doorbell is also reported as compatible, so you can use an existing Sync Module 2 instead of the included Core module.
It is battery-powered, so it cannot be powered by existing doorbell wiring alone. The app can be set to ring your existing chime, and some setups also hard-wire the doorbell for power.
I've gotten really good battery life on my blink 3 cameras but the blink 4s just drain so fast, sometimes in a month, that's with maybe 10 or so movements and records a day, the 3s last about 6 months with generally the same usage. Could the 4s have a defect?
You won't be able to change the firmware or the fundamental recording logic, but you can wrap Blink with your own automations in Python using blinkpy and similar integrations
It requires a subscription if you want to record clips without a Sync Module 2. You can still use it without recording clips. The module is currently $50. I have had a Blink system for years with no subscription, and I record clips via local USB.
Where can I find the sync module 2? Is it the blink branded one?
I know that Blink 4 cameras work with the Sync Model 2 from experience and I just asked Alexa if the newest model 2k is compatible and it's telling me yes.I even inquired "Is the 2k doorbell that I just purchased compatible with the Sync Model 2 that I already have and will it record video events?" and Alexa is telling me that it is.Regardless, the price is too good for me to pass up so I got a set for about $30 shipped; thanks OP. I find Blink cameras useful for monitoring occasionally appliances and infrequently visited areas like sump pumps, water heaters, oil fuel tank levels and cellars. Saves my lazy ars a trip down to the basement at least
I am a senior who is going back to school to obtain my bachelor's degree in business. The wireless video door bell and cameras is a good deal.. I need the funds to purchase and activate this system for my residence. I've lost so much over the years and I am tierd of paying to get screwed by others. A picture is worth a thousand words.
Gosh...... I cannot keep up anymore........ 😵 💫
I cannot even get ring door bell for me to hear inside the house...
People either leave or those who has my number will call or text me to open the door...

The bundle can still provide live viewing even when cloud recording requires a subscription.

The doorbell and cameras can be paired with Sync Module 2 automatically after setup.
The included Sync Module Core in this package can be cloud-only and may not support USB local storage or microSD recording.
Cloud clip storage and advanced features can require a Blink subscription after the 30-day trial.
Battery-powered placement can become impractical in high-activity areas due to frequent battery replacement.
Recording may not be continuous, so events occurring between captures can be missed.
