I don't think you can get a lower cost good performance entry point to AM5.

Well, not for an 8 core AM5 cpu no.. this is as cheap as I've seen it. woot had a 7900x a few months ago for just $200 which was a real solid deal.

this neatfield is tripping..... a ryzen 7700x at 170 is regular price? when and in what world are you living in buddy? this is their first am5 cpu and the latest one is the successor. 170$ for this CPU is an excellent deal.

CPU's are getting cheaper in the same pattern as they usually did before the chip crisis. Not enough to offset of even ease the burden of cost of the rest of the components

But, I think the 9600x would be much better value for gaming. It's cheaper, more efficient and runs cooler.

This is a good price, but if you don't really need the 2 extra cores, then the 9600x for $160 might make more sense for most people.
