Price wise yes. But i know these 12ah's have had a bad rep of going bad. Not sure if they have gotten better over the years. I usually only run 9ah since so no personal experience.

I've had two that came with my mower and I feel like I'm constantly cycling them with warranty replacements. After about six or nine months the 12ah will hold the charge of a 4ah battery. I have about 4 9ah that I use with edger and blower and I've never had a problem with.

I have three 12ah that have died early but not under warranty. I have eight 9ah and never had an issue.

I don't know whether the cells used in the 20V/60V 12Ah batteries are better quality than those in the 9Ah batteries. However, there have been two recent occasions where the 2-pack of 9Ah batteries was on sale for $190 and $199. Unfortunately, there were no stores near me that had the $190 deal available, so I was only able to purchase the $199 deal.
Based on cost per amp-hour, the 9Ah twin pack is the better value unless you specifically need the additional capacity of the 12Ah battery. Wait and see if there's a sale during the July 4th holiday.
