I was fooled by the design and ended up buying two of these for my kids, but this thing is absolute garbage.
The airflow is terrible for the amount of noise it makes. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Definitely not as nice of a fan as I was hoping for. Looks and feels solid, performance is so-so, motor is extremely loud and clicky at the highest speed.

I came here to repeat the same point. I bought this at Home Depot once and I ended up returning it as it didn't push enough air.

bought this over a year ago. was underwelmed from the start. i thought i was buying into something with some vornado specialty... like when i did a decade ago w/ vornado.
i think 6 months in, i learned ya can't clean the darn thing if you want to.
3 weeks go i put it back into the box.
ramped up to a dreo, threw it in the corner, the air it generates can reach me and since now its a fan in the corner.. silent breeze... happy sleeper.
Great example of how american companies are giving us consumers complete slop. Built to fail brushed motors that are loud and consume 3x the energy of brushless. Where any fan you buy directly from china now is likely highly efficient with at least brushless motor, led display, a few microcontrollers etc.

I had the same experience. Much prefer the Vornado Zippi with the larger exposed fabric blades. Much quieter, better airflow, and just a fun design overall.
These are indeed very small, like the size of a softball. They are desktop sized- I've used them under bunk beds. Put tube foam or similar and strap or zip-tie them to the slats above. Great since bunks diminish ceiling fans. That all said, these are not room sized.
have a few vornado, including this one. the others are good, however like others have stated, this thing is garbage. quite loud for the size, very low output. If it wasn't for the vornado name on it I would think it is some no name chinese junk. Stay away from it

maybe i'll repurpose it as a ball fan.

this $8 DC fan uses about 3 watts
while this vornado runs at 18 watts.
