I randomly received a $10 Amazon gift card recently from Citi, then today received another $15 Amazon GC. I browsed to https://www.amazon.com/hp/shopwit.../servicing and upon clicking on my Citi Double Cash card, it shows an Amazon Gift Card on Demand promotion I didn't even know I had.

The important terms are: "Customers with an eligible Citi CashCard who redeem Citi ThankYou Points to pay for all or a portion of eligible purchases on Amazon during the promotional period will receive an automatic award of an Amazon Gift Card to their linked Amazon account 30 days after completion of the following: (a) by redeeming 2,500 Points worth $20 towards an eligible Amazon purchase, the customer will be issued a $10 Amazon Gift Card, and (b) by redeeming 15,625 Points worth $125 towards eligible Amazon purchases, the customer will be issued a $15 Amazon Gift Card."

Thanks for sharing. When I added my citi double cash card to my amazon account, I could see the offer after coming back here and clicking on your link again.

Note, Amazon exchange rate when redeeming points for purchases on Amazon:

Amazon shows my redemption value as:
1 point = $0.008
2,404 ThankYou® Points Is worth $19.23. So I wouldn't recommend redeeming points for purchases on Amazon normally since you are basically losing $5 for every 2500 Thank you points compared to the cash back when redeeming from Citi to your bank account or a statement credit. This deal here by OP really only nets me $5. Does this sound right or am I mistaken?

you get 0.8 cents per Thank You point at Amazon versus 1 cent doing a cash redemption. The $10 gift card is only $5 more than if you redeemed for cash. You are losing money trying to redeem the $15 gift card

Am I understanding this promotion correctly? With my Citi Double Cash card, I can exchange 2500 points for $25.00 cash back. As part of this promotion, I can exchange 2500 points for $20 in credit at Amazon and get a $10 Amazon gift card. In other words, for $25 worth of points, I can get $30 in Amazon credit. That seems like a fair deal. I can also exchange another 15,625 points (worth $156.25 cash back) for $125 in Amazon credit and get a $15 Amazon gift card. In other words, for $156.25 worth of points, I can get $140 in Amazon credit. Wouldn't the smart thing to do be to go for the $10 Amazon gift card and leave the $15 Amazon gift card on the table?

Citi ThankYou® Points can redeem for AA points. Those are super valuable, they can get you business class flight to Japan starting at 60k points. So this deal is terrible!

I don't fly. So this deal is better than just normal points. 🙂

Wow. Mine says 1 point is equal to a dollar with the USBank Cash+ Visa card. (Their Altitude card indicates 1 point is a penny of course.) Although I don't have any points/haven't used this card in years lol

It seems like a big waste of time and effort to me. If you have an Amazon Prime Store card and get 5% back with it, you're also giving that up.

I tried this today. The Amazon purchase was tracked. Anyone received the $10 Gift card yet?

Looks like a decent deal for the $10 card, but the $15 card isn't worth it. Looks like it's time for me to start saving up my points for a few months to get that $10 card. I typically just transfer the balance into my Citi high yield savings each month.
