Thoughts on this GPU? I hear this is the worst 80 series GPU ever released by nvidia. It's really like 70.5 series.

Yeah, I'm personally waiting to see the 5080 Super performance difference unless I see a crazy deal...

This generation was super underwhelming in the mid-high tier range...

yeah, the 5080 is disappointing for an 80-class card. No 24GB VRAM, the same 16GB/256-bit setup as the 5070 Ti, while the 5090 jumps all the way to 32GB/512-bit. that said, it's still faster than the 5070 Ti and can be a good card if the price is right. It's more bad product segmentation than a bad GPU. the 5070 Ti is probably the better value, especially if you can get one at the $500/$700 clearance at Best Buy

I have this card. It's been great and hasn't given me any issues. Been playing games in 4k.

If I'm not mistaken this is about 20% faster than the 9070xt for 40% more money, just didnt seem worth it to me so I picked up two 9070 xt's for the wife and I. For 630$ and 650$

also have this model, my lighting on the gigabyte logo was defective out of the box, i'll worry about warranty at a later date but the cooler is amazing. you can run the fans very slow and not even hear the card. massive uplift from my RTX 3080. i play at 4k 120FPS and with DLSS i haven't found a game i can't run maxed out at 120+FPS.

Still have my 4080 super variant of this card and 4 year warranty still going strong since the day I bought it through Best buy and had it delivered to my doorstep. 4k maxed out and its never been anything but stellar performance. I was going to upgrade but I paid $1,079.00 for the Gigabyte gaming oc 4080 super. I probably won't get another gpu for the next 5 years. Having a 9070xt red devil and a phantom gaming 7900xtx and this card i feel I am pretty well bullet proof for a while.

I do think 16 g is a little low for gaming. OK for AI is a little bit skimp.
