Newegg has this deal for $150 for their shell shocker off with a promo code if you sign up for it. Card is 1450 before tax, after the 150 coupon it comes to $1300 plus tax. Its 1450-1500 at most retailers like BB and Amazon currently.
It's probably not a great deal but 150 off considering MSRP is 1450 currently (can't compare to the $1000 msrp at launch for the base cooler cards those days are long gone) isnt too bad I thought. I'm also reading impending gpu price hikes of 30% across the board, so may be a decent purchase. The cooler looks bigger than the Microcenter deal for the Gigabyte SFF 5080 so perhaps better cooling if you dont need a SFF card, that is also now 1200 at MC.
Thoughts?

The GIGABYTE Gaming GeForce RTX 5080 OC (GV-N5080GAMING OC-16GD) has significantly better cooling and overclocking headroom than the Gigabyte WindForce SFF variant.
Power limit is 450w vs 360w
450W Power Target Ceiling: True manual overclocking relies heavily on power limits. GIGABYTE explicitly unlocked a 450W peak power slider into the Gaming OC's vbios, allowing you to feed the core voltage needed for stable 3.1+ GHz
The WindForce SFF is an engineering triumph for tiny ITX enclosures, To prevent thermal throttling in tight spaces, its maximum power ceiling is tightly capped.
I had a expensive corsair water pump and they tried to deny the claim.
On some forum somebody mentioned that PNY had the best warranties.

Small sample size but my Gigabyte 8800GT/560ti/1080ti and Zotac 970 were flawless and all still work to this day
Also, this deal is dead now Newegg pulled the promo code.
