I'm an amateur woodworker working from my garage with a few power tools. I got the 5 gallon version of this vacuum to use as my primary "dust collection" system and it has been simply amazing. It is so much quieter than the 12-gal Rigid vacuum I replaced. I don't need to wear ear protection when using it and I also don't have to worry about waking up the family if I want to work in the garage later in the evenings. I got the 5 gallon version because I use it with a bucket+cyclone so I didn't have a need for a larger capacity. It definitely does the job!
