I bought a couple one+ lithium+ 3ah batteries six years ago, they were sitting in the garage brand new unopened until just a few days ago, none of them were recognized by the charger. Thankfully I was able to wake them up by using a laptop charger and a car battery charger.

The voltage was too low (pretty much zero) to be recognized.

So just FYI, keep these ryobi batteries at least partially charged at all time.

I left one of my 4ah batteries in the rain and it would not turn on anymore. I opened it up and shorted "reset" and "ground" pins, the 4 leds were flashing 20 time, unfortunately it's still not recognized by the charger. I guess the circuit board is bad...
