Williston audio on YouTube did a comparison vs the JBL partybox if you feel like looking for it. Just keep in mind the prices he paid for each (vs current pricing) during the review. The Onn is not as loud but also much cheaper
Big D is the man for sure when it comes to audio. I think 2 of these at this price is a great deal but keep in mind, when the internal battery dies, SO DOES THE UNIT until you change the battery. It will no longer function even plugged in.
It powerd up pretty quickly, I had mine die on Saturday and was up within a minute of being plugged in
Got one a month or two ago for $110, works great. Got a wireless mic kit from Amazon and great for karaoke too. I just ordered another one and will try pairing it together
hey which wireless mic kit did you get? the included mic's on these always sound like something from the 80s!

Buy the extended warranty for $7 extra and problem solved.
I just got JBL 120 delivered today from Costco for $280. Any suggestion if I shall return that and get 2 of these for half the price?
Return and purchase these. You'll get stereo mode and have money to spare. I myself have a JBL 320 but purchased these to not worry about it at all at a party or the beach.

Darn i paid $109 each and got two. Still great but ooooff.
borderline dumb question but how impactful has it been having two (2) instead of one (1)? i am on the fence to get a 2nd one, and pair it. my main use-case is backyard grilling/party which seems totally reasonable with just one. also have you noticed any performance or connectivity issues with two versus one?

I've had 2 for a while and no issues. At this price, grab a 2nd one. It's not the loudest but 2 gives you much more flexibility. I haven't tested the distance but outdoors, you can have one on 2 sides of the house to get maximum coverage. We use ours for outdoor movie nights too and works great for wireless 2-channel/stereo. I wish this would allow for more than 2 wirelessly connected like JBL.
Depends if you're handy. I opened mine up and swapped out the tweeters for some skar audio ones which cleans up the highs and high-mids. Electronically, it's pretty basic but getting the sealed case open was by far the hardest part, and you risk any water resistance opening it up.
does it actually do stereo or just 2 mono channels?
It does stereo. I've used them for PA/karaoke, music, outdoor movies. Stereo aux in also gets wireless output to both speakers. Microphone/guitar input does not (only out of the speaker it's plugged into)
This is barely portable as it weighs a ton, but similar to competing speakers in that regard. Sounds pretty good.
My medium speaker battery did not last super long so that's a potential downside. So far it still works fine if plugged in, so still somewhat useful.
Overall if you def want one of these big beasts, you can't beat this price.
Disagree. They're actually pretty lightweight but they have a telescoping handle and wheels. They're very portable.
It won't pair directly with a wireless mic. You need to buy one with a wireless receiver that plugs in the 1/4" port. And the mic sound doesn't sync between the 2 speakers in the party mode.
Pro tip: I realized that the aux-in as stereo input does wirelessly output to both speakers. If your microphone is a stereo (TRS) plug or you get an adapter from mono to 3.5mm TRS, it will output to both.
The downside of that is that the mode will be aux so Bluetooth audio won't also work at the same time. But for something like a party, I've played bluetooth music, changed the mode to aux, made announcement/speech (in stereo), then gone back to BT for background music.
Is it viable to use these as indoor floor standing speakers?
Yes, there are speaker stand holes on the bottom. They are a little narrow though. They fit some of my smaller speaker stands but I have a pair of big ones that were too tight to fit.

these don't come with any mics. I have 2 different sets from Amazon. Generic $30ish each for 2 mics. Cheap but they work good well enough for karaoke and not a big deal if lost/broken.
These also have usb so it's helpful to just plug in the usb charger for the mic receiver. Don't need to worry about that dying mid karaoke party.
