Williston audio on YouTube did a comparison vs the JBL partybox if you feel like looking for it. Just keep in mind the prices he paid for each (vs current pricing) during the review. The Onn is not as loud but also much cheaper
Saw two of these in store yesterday and had to talk myself out of buying one. I have one from a previous clearance sale and this price is even more insane The ability to have music in stereo would be nice, but pretty sure if I come home with another speaker my wife will change the locks on me.😆
I like these, but I also purchased some of the $41 open box single-woofer models (medium gen 2). I prefer the value of the smaller speaker - two for $82, and I can feel okay cleaning them with their IPX7 rating. One arrived like new, but the other was a bit dirty - I just put it in the tub and washed it down to get it clean.
Walmart had more listed for sale today, but it looks like people already bought them up.
None of these have excellent sound quality, but at around $80 for a pair, I love the smaller ones. I've never been impressed with any of the battery powered speaker options under $500 (need a proper PA speaker with separate battery and inverter instead), so the value of these gen2 medium and large model speakers are excellent.
My real use case is a couple speakers out in the gardens with me, getting dirty and rained on, whether I'm using my machinery, or using hand tools. Headphones or earmuffs get uncomfortable after a couple hours of pressure, and sweat. The IPX7 rated medium units should do the job very well.

Depends if you're handy. I opened mine up and swapped out the tweeters for some skar audio ones which cleans up the highs and high-mids. Electronically, it's pretty basic but getting the sealed case open was by far the hardest part, and you risk any water resistance opening it up.
What kind of battery they used? Lithium or sealed lead acid? Thanks

I thought I took pictures but can't find them. I didn't pay too close attention to the battery. I think it's a 12v 7.2ah SLA battery though. Easily replaceable/upgradable if you get it open and there's room but also means the charger is probably pretty simple and will need to stick with SLA when it dies.

If you talking about the Onn Gen 2, it uses lithium batteries, not SLA.

Looks like it's a lithium pack with 4 x 18650 cells. So should be easy to replace/rebuild if/when the time comes.
