Get the one with the selectable weight stack in the back center with weight plate horns to add weight plates if desired. Only about $100 more... otherwise same other stuff.

Is the cable only for lat pulldowns or can the height be adjusted? If it can't be adjusted on this one, are there home gym power racks that have that feature?

There are the higher point of attaching to a cable for LAT pull downs, and a lower point of attaching to a cable for ROW pulls, both in the back center to use the weight plates on the horns. They allow for up to 300lb weight resistance and it is 1:1 ratio cable resistance .There is no sliding feature of attaching to variable height points. You can do quite a bit of cable exercises. You can do quite a few functional cable exercises using the two different pull points. With this original set up, you may have to do some exercises one side at a time, such as chest fly, cross over, deltoid.

But, I am using hitch pins in the 1-inch holes of the front posts. Select any height hole. Secured with cotter pins which come with the hitch pins. Then use a carabiner to attach a fixed-eye 3-inch open-sided pulley to the handle of each hitch pin, right and left front post. The AI prompt replied a 3-inch diameter wheel or sheave of a pulley has very smooth action. It also said a 2-inch diameter wheel of the pulley would be very good for gym purposes too, but the price difference was negligible to I select the 3-inch diameter. The open-side feature means I can open the side of the pulley and put my 1/4-inch diameter rope in without having to thread the rope end through an otherwise pulley that could not be opened on the side. The ends of my rope have secured D-rings so I cannot thread the ends through a pulley.

My rope with the two D-ring handles has another fixed-eye pulley in the center to attach to either the high point LAT pull or low point ROW pull of the F4 version 2.0 cables.

Because I have J-hooks and weight plate holder attachments to the front posts, a trolley would not be able to slide up and down without having to remove said hooks and holders. But with the hitch pin set up, I can easily change the height of the "functional trainer pull points" by choosing whatever remaining front post holes of which there are plenty enough to execute a variety of chest pull flys, cross-over flys, deltoids, face-pulls, etc. These do not require much weight so it keeps the torque force pretty low. I do not use this for high weight resistance exercises like LAT pull down and ROW pulls, biceps, etc since I have those using the original cable set up or other means.

So I can do wide functional trainer at various heights by merely changing the position of the hitch pins. I select either the high point LAT pull cable connection, or the low point ROW pull cable connection. I use the original weight plate horns of the back center on the F4 version 2.0 without needing to attach some other resistance source. I'll keep an eye on the holes in which the hitch pin will have some torque force to make sure there is no metal fatigue denting. May have to create some kind of 1-inch sleave to better distribute the forces in that post hole from the hitch pin which is only 5/8-inch diameter.

Hope that makes sense. If it is confusion, copy the text and put it into ChatGPT AI and ask it to explain it in a step by step clearer instruction or in whatever manner you may find it more understandable. .

For comparison to another model - HR05 version is a half rack, so you'd be squatting or benching outside of the rack/cage, has 2 independent and adjustable cables on the front posts instead of the single high/low cable on this model. Just depends what type of exercises you like to do and if you want to pay a little extra or need the safety of lifting inside the cage vs outside

Check out the HR05 by Mikolo, has a 2 cable system that's more like a standard functional trainer w a rack to use for squat/bench and other exercises. On sale on Amazon, Walmart, and Mikolo directly for various prices

That's a great design but pretty expensive
