Bought 15 titles for the Superman (2025) promo last July. Back then they had many titles at $5 and $7. This time, the only $5 title is Superman 2025 and that was because FAH PM iTunes and Amazon. Everything else is overpriced and not worth getting. For example, I bought Krypto the Superdog S1 and S2 for $7 each. This time it's $25 each. Hopefully FAH will lower the prices next week.

I bought superman for $5 got the promo code. I signed up for the Summer Fandango FanClub ($50 for 4 tickets, waived fees, etc).

Issue is that the promo code does not come off the price of the ticket, seems to go off the price plus convenice fees. So a $7.64 ticket (for Tues night) goes to $4.83 with the promo code.

They used to make films like The Godfather, Jaws, The Deer Hunter, classic Hitchcock like Rear Window. Now they make Supergirl. 🤦 ♂️

That, and the original full price taxes too. I've tried messaging Fandango for transparency as this happened with the Mortal Kombat 2 and Disclosure Day promos, and they wouldn't answer/kept feigning ignorance.

Here is their response as to why the amount is not adjuated correctly:
"Thank you for contacting Fandango Customer Service.

We reviewed the transaction details and would like to provide a breakdown of the charges:

RCC Value Day Ticket Price: $7.64
Convenience Fee: $2.19
Waived Fee Member Benefit: -$2.19
Promotional Code Discount Applied: -$5.00
Fandango FanRewards Points: Included
Total Charged: $4.83

Please note that the $5 promotional code was applied after the eligible ticket subtotal and applicable adjustments were calculated. The promotional code does not reduce the total by a direct dollar-for-dollar amount from the original ticket price when combined with other discounts or member benefits.

Based on the transaction breakdown above, the promotional code and FanClub waived fee benefit were successfully applied to the order."

It doesn't make any sense though, and is still not accurate. In your ticket example, they're essentially applying to just the original ticket but also still charging you the convenience fee even though it's waived after. 7.64-5=2.64, 2.64+2.19=4.83. Even though we have the Fandango pass and the fee is supposedly waived, here it is still being applied.

No matter how they swing this, their breakdowns are not working properly from a consumer standpoint. When I called this out, hey kept saying they didn't understand and wouldn't provide an answer on whether they were applying hidden fees to counter the promo.

Agreed. Makes no sense. Makes their movie club not really worth it. Not sure if they were trying to drive sign ups with their summer promotion but it will have me not doing it again

The unprecedented hate for this movie is unwarranted. I thought it was average and predictable, but nowhere near the worst movie of the year. I watched it on IMAX, probably will watch it again on 3D. The Fandango code SUPERGIRL3D stacks on the $5 movie ticket code.
