This iPad Air M4 deal stands out for strong performance, a familiar 11 inch form factor, and enough storage headroom to avoid constant app deletions and update hassles. The 256GB option gets the most enthusiasm, and older 5th gen cases appear to fit. Costco also looks attractive for AppleCare or tablet protection, with lower protection pricing and a 90 day return window. The main drawbacks are the extra shipping and California fee, and a competing Best Buy cellular M3 price that undercuts it. A solid pick if you want more room and smoother everyday use.

Amazon has a few like new condition on 256GB for $25 cheaper. Is it not worth it save $25 or is it? Thanks!

Low risk but also very little savings. Plus, it's probably been in someone's bathroom and seen some stuff. I say buy the new one and treat yourself!

Perfect timing needed this, thank you for posting!

Also re: buying "like new" for $25 cheaper... my rule is if I'm not saving at least 20% to risk a used item I'd rather just pay a little extra for something I know is brand new and won't have possible warranty issues (pending where bought from and item in question).

If you plan on getting AppleCare+, Costco is the better option since it comes out to $59.99 for 2 years instead of the Amazon bundled $69.99 AppleCare+. I'd also rather have the peace of mind of a 90 day return window and bonus with my executive card. In for 2.
Just curious, what is the advantage of paying $60 for 2 years of AppleCare+ when the Costco tablet protection plan is $50 for 2 years [costco.com] and doesn't have a deductible? AppleCare+ requires a $100 deductible each time you use it on top of the $60-70 you've already paid. The Costco tablet protection plan is $50, no deductibles, and still covers everything including accidental damage. It doesn't cover theft or loss, which I suppose is a disadvantage, but if your device is unlikely to get stolen I feel like the Costco plan is the better value.

I actually didn't know about the Allstate coverage option but I did a quick search to see the difference.

The Allstate 2-Year Plan (via Costco) and AppleCare+ differ fundamentally in who repairs your device and how much you pay. Allstate is an affordable third-party insurance, while AppleCare+ is the official, premium manufacturer warranty.
Deep Dive: Which Should You Choose?
Choose the Allstate plan if:
  • You want upfront savings: It is significantly cheaper than AppleCare+ at the time of purchase.
  • You want zero deductibles: If you crack your screen or suffer a mechanical failure, Allstate covers 100% of the cost with no out-of-pocket fees.
  • You are on a budget: It's ideal for budget tablets or users who are generally careful but want a safety net against major hardware failures.
Choose AppleCare+ if:
  • You want fast, official service: Repairs are done by Apple technicians using genuine Apple parts, and you can visit an Apple Store in person.
  • You are prone to accidents: AppleCare+ covers unlimited incidents of accidental damage (subject to a service fee) rather than capping coverage at the device's value.
  • You want accessory coverage: It extends coverage to your Apple Pencil and Apple-branded iPad keyboard.
  • You want theft and loss protection: You can add this option if you are worried about your tablet being stolen.

This comparison seems AI generated, and it's also partially wrong. The Allstate/Costco protection plan also covers accidental damage, including water damage and cracked screens, with no deductible. It's clearly stated in the listing.

Do all usually get Apple care with it? I never bought one and luckily didn't have a problem. I'm wondering if I should or not.
