This Nintendo eShop gift card deal is mainly useful for stocking up on Switch funds for digital games and subscriptions, especially when paired with eShop sales and wishlist alerts. The card can also cover Nintendo Switch Online and the retro library, and the code is for United States use with a Nintendo Account, internet access, and the latest system update. The main drawback is price, since Costco and CardBear have recently offered better discounts, and Paze does not apply to third party gift cards here. It is still a straightforward way to lock in funds ahead of future price changes.
Nintendo Switch players who buy digital games regularly, because the funds can be stacked with eShop sales and wishlist alerts for a deeper discount.
It is better than paying full price, but Costco has been cheaper at times and CardBear's Nintendo gift cards were cited at 17.5% off versus about 12.5% here. Costco also requires membership, and its current promo was noted as better than this Newegg price.
Yes. The funds can be applied to Nintendo eShop purchases and also to Nintendo Switch Online and retro library subscriptions, so the card is useful beyond buying individual games.
Yes. The listed digital terms say the code is valid for use in the United States only, and redemption requires a Nintendo Account, internet access, and the latest Switch system update.
S I just ordered a Switch 2 this morning, is this going to be the best deal on getting some games on it at some kind of a discount? Or am I better off just looking on ebay and gamestop for some good used games? Or just getting the walmart sales as time goes on?

For digital games, Costco has run 20% eShop cards previously. It's one a year on average, around Christmas time. That's the best I've seen, and eShop cards are 10% off there normally. Newegg has done 15% off a couple of times this year, iirc, so 12.5% is slightly better than Costco, but also doesn't match their previous low.

This (or the Costco eshop card sale is a slightly better deal if you have an executive membership) combined with sales on the eshop store can get you a pretty steep discount. I keep games in my eshop wishlist and get an email from Nintendo when they go on sale.
These gift cards can also be used for the online/retro library subscriptions.

Dekudeals shows all sales on Switch games that's the best place for price tracking and research.
combine with the Paze deal to get an extra $10 off.
EDIT: i just tried to check out but it's not working. I thought the newegg paze deal was working with gift cards over $50...

Paze $10 off 10+ only works on newegg's own giftcards over $50. Third party giftcards are completely cut off from paze on newegg. :-(
