I have the Air 5th gen, I'm seeing very little difference, besides storage. I'll wait until there are some significant improvements, as M1 to M4 is only slightly.

I was debating this with iPad Air M3 11" 128GB Wi-Fi+ cellular for $479 in Best buy and went with M3 cellular option.. Slight performance decrease which I may not notice for my light use plus I will be losing may be one year of support which I am ok with.

There is a memory crisis from AI. Apple just raised the prices of many of their OLD product by $100-300 dollars. This is never getting cheaper and when Amazon runs out of inventory it will be hundreds more expensive.
