Yep there are permits involved. Tax Reassessment is every 5 year in my state.

Im wondering if i could make this a custom size? It looks like the aluminum components are connected with clips and could be cut. The acrylic panels could be cut to size. I don't think i could buy materials to make something like this for $320. Anyone have one of these that could give their opinion?

I have the exact model which I bought for way more 5 years ago. It's not sturdy (at all) and you can't use it without having it tied in the back to a house. The aluminum components are held together by bolts. The parts have pre drilled pre-threaded holes for the bolts. If you're thinking about cutting the aluminum you may have to figure out the positioning of the threaded holes.
