I used to think of them like Harbor Freight for tools. Great entry-point cost and good enough to get you by. Replace with higher quality if you find yourself using it a ton.
But now half of my camping gear is Ozark Trail that has stood the test of time and hasn't needed premature replacement. To be fair, I'm mostly doing rustic "car camping" and a bit of backpacking. An equipment failure doesn't exactly endanger my safety.

How long would a pos like this realistically last...and how uncomfortable would you be waiting for it to wear out?
I've never had a pair of water shoes that survived the elements that long. These at least look like they would offer adequate protection from coral rocks etc.

tempting...I've been surprised with Ozark trail product quality with other stuff like water bottles. wonder how these will hold up over time

I just ordered another of their fleece zip up jackets, steal for $7. Their soft shell jackets are good too but haven't seen them in sale in a year or two

These "water shoes" are actually ideal for gym use---weightlifting, ellipticals and stationary bikes. Also very comfy for walking around, hiking and very short (3 miles and under) easy runs. (Use normal running shoes for real runs.) I have about 3 pairs of similar "water shoes" from Amazon which cost $30-40/pr and they've held up fine for those activities, so would feel very confident with these. Folks, all this crap is made in Chinese factories where actual production cost including labor is probably like $3-5 a pair. Your big brand shoes that retail in the $100-200 cost about $10/pr in the same factories. Don't. Be. A sucker.
I assume these would be great as indoor shoes in my house? I have hardwood floors. I always wear indoor shoes while home to keep me feeling ready or productive until the end of the day.

Sure, why not? But if you want to strengthen your feet, ankles, and calves though, barefoot at home is best.

These have a minimal sole, zero drop, and a very wide toebox, and will strengthen your feet nearly as well as going barefoot. They're an excellent cheap introduction to barefoot shoes/minimal shoes.

Yes they are obviously much superior to conventional shoes which have big overbuilt heels, narrow toebox and stiffer soles. But I wouldn't call them "barefoot/minimalist" in comparison to REAL barefoot/minimalist shoes by Vibram, Vivo, Xero, etc. Unfortunately the latter group are grotesquely overpriced compared to this, of course. 🤣
