I usually just get the knock-off ones at Aldi for about the same price. They're a bit worse quality but pretty much the same otherwise.

These bars are meant for high activity folks (running, hiking, biking, etc), not for people who are sitting at a desk and wanting to add protein into their diet. If that's the case for you, this is a good deal.

I don't get the complaints about carbs here. Your body needs carbs. 20 grams of protein + ~150 calories of carbohydrates is fine. They're not marketing these as a weight-loss supplement (or, at least the packaging isn't).
