I keep loading these on from Newegg and when the Malwarebytes renewal comes up I use the oldest one. This is a REALLY good deal today tho.

I guess I'm still very lucky to have been grandfathered in to a lifetime license that I got many years ago for $10.

Same here. In my case I had bought multiple lifetime copies for myself and family members. My mistake was not tracking the keys before giving the boxes out. Since then the boxes (with license keys inside) were misplaced or thrown away. The PC's where Malwarebytes had been installed has been replaced with newer machines and old PC's recycle Frown
Since those days, Malwarebytes now allows you to centrally manage each key. So if you were to replace a PC, you just need to deactivate old PC using the online console and active new PC with same license.

I need to go back and boot up my old pc. I know I got a lifetime license but could never figure out why it was trying to make me pay.

These don't stack, but they don't expire. You can activate one each year if you bought multiple.

I got a lifetime license. Problem is, once you change your email address, your license is gone forever. They won't update it. So I just started using CachyOS instead. No more viruses or malware to worry about.

Is that true about changing your email address? Not that I am doubting you but I can't find info to support that statement

I ran into this issue awhile back, when I say back it was around 2016. Malwarebyte released an update that would not accept my Malwarebyte key. My ID showed valid, but the Key came back as invalid. I forget if I was trying to re-install Malwarebyte onto a replacement PC or this was a major update from Malwarebyte that caused the problem. I ended up contacting Malwarebytes Support. They ended up giving me a new ID and Key. Caveat here is you need the original ID and Key that came with the original purchase. I think they now encrypt that data on your PC, so it's not visible in the registry.
