I feel like this is not a good item for southern states. Don't want to go out and get burns just from grabbing my hose.

I buy plenty of cheap disposable brand crap, but a good garden hose is worth spending a touch more on. I've had my rubber craftsman hoses for decades.

I had read from some credible source, maybe consumer reports or the like, that the steel hoses in fact do not get hot to the touch. Not sure how they managed that, but the claim stuck in my memory because it seemed so anomalous.

These are like the cheap stainless steel shower hoses that they have on temu and sites like it and they have a very thin liner inside that will not last like a good garden hose will.

I believe these have those expanding hoses inside the steel shells. They also probably have a warning to not leave them outdoors, mine did.
I have 15 ft version that look very similar to these so I think it was made in the same factories. They're great, lightweight, and very flexible. I've stepped on the steel hoses a bunch of times and I have not see any dents in the hose's shell.
All my expanding hoses eventually sprung a leak within 3 yrs so time will tell if these stainless steel ones will last as long or longer.

$19 is a very good price for a 50 ft light, flexible hose.

Overall 13% one star reviews. If you sort by recent reviews it's 50% one star. It's a hard pass for me despite the price.

I bought one of these off of this last time and the metal separated in one section and pinched a hole in the thin rubber hose underneath immediately after hooking it up.

Not this brand but very happy with my 50ft stainless has lasted my going on 3 or 4 years now still perfect where all the others I had to replace almost yearly.

Most people need to realize that stainless does not mean stainproof… less corrosion than regular steel doesn't mean it won't ever corrode especially giving it the right (ie more accurately, the wrong) conditions.
