I like these kinds of mounts for doing video chat calls while I'm driving on a long trip just so that I'm not too distracted looking away from the road. It allows them to see me and I can see them if I keep watching the road.

i have this mount. i dont recommend it because the top part keeps sliding making it go off center. drives me nuts.

This exact model was 50% On Amazon Haul for $7 during their Tuesday sale ($16.18 - 50% -10-% off). I didn't think to share it on SD since a lot of stuff was on sale on haul. I think the $16 is the normal price and not a slickdeal.
