No Ultra Wideband means no precision finding which means these are not really useful for locating small items like keys and wallets.

True, but these have much louder sound, so if you are anywhere close, you can hear them where the Apple air tags are hard to hear.

FYI - Insignia locator tags are also on sale from Best Buy for $15 https://slickdeals.net/f/19661058-4-count-insignia-ios-apple-find-my-app-locator-tag-white-15-free-shipping?v=1&src=SiteSearch
I like Insignia one, it even performs better than Apple AirTag, it update location more often and have a lower sound, only problem is it is not easy to replace battery. Wonder whether ugreen is better than Insignia

I have used tiles for many years which are similiar. When they work, they are lifesavers. However, they tend to not work which defeats the purpose.

However, they have saved my ass a few times so I'm a big fan of trackers like this. I'm still waiting on more reliable ones. Maybe these will be it. Unfortunately not in apples ecosystems, so airtags wont work.

"Apple Air Tags are hard to hear"

I don't have any gen 2. Compared to gen 1 AirTags, these are MUCH louder. Four of these for less than one apple one is a good deal in my book. I have multiple gen 1 AirTags and have 2 of these Ugreen ones. I like that the ugreen ones have the built in area for keychain, too. Depends on your use case I guess. But if you are using mainly for luggage and bags, like I am, then these ugreen ones are great.

Do any of these non-Apple tags NOT require 2FA?

Correct. Airtags also use Ultra Wide Band (UWBA) which helps find the precise location. Without it, you get a general location and then you can trigger the tag to make noise to help you locate it. As someone else mentioned earlier, smaller objects like keys is where UWB comes in handy. For larger items like your dog or your luggage, you don't really need the extra precision.

I use the Insignia ones from Bestbuy. They're the same shape as Apple Airtags and only slightly larger, so they will fit in the typical silicone holder designed for Airtags. With these Ugreen tags, you'd have to hang them from the collar.
