haha, I thought I was the only one that found this soooo strange! I myself love the trackpad, but ask me again in a few years if I can still move my fingers. :-/

I had to send this thing back; I'm an Apple freak, but having to perform the hover-copter hand technique instead of literally resting my hand on the mouse drove me up a wall.
I think the worst part was definitely the fact that I couldn't have my other finger resting on the mouse itself while right clicking or something; It optically reads your finger distance to infer whether to right click or not (as opposed to having two separate click buttons). So, if you're a knuckle dragger like me, run for the hills.
