This is a good deal; however, Google has folded Fitbit completely into its Health app. Most of the the unique features to Fitbit were removed. Exercise exertion calculations for cardio have been changed into a lighter version and are not consistent with American Heart Association recommendations or devised according to well known and researched VO2 max formulations. The app is constantly pushing its coaching service which gets old and annoying. You can't get constant heart rate output on the app, it times out after 10 minutes. True to Google "deal with it" form, any feedback or complaint you make will get shot down on their user forums and then locked once people join in to say they also have the problem. The company has ran this product into the ground.

As far as heart rate monitor, it's pretty good, and measured to real time bioimpedance on the machines at the gym this is +/-3 bpm within those readings. You won't be able to trust the calorie output measures in any device outside of basic walking. You will be able to see cardio improvements with your well executed cardio programs with their graphical representations. You have to control and design your own fitness programs. I wouldn't trust their premium coaching service to help you do anything meaningful, outside of taking your money and making you feel good about meditation.

I'm keeping mine, and it still serves my purposes, but the next fitness tracker will be a Garmin or anything else other than Fitbit.
