Here are actual measurements: https://audioxpress.com/article/f...technology

As I suspected, KEF's claimed 11Hz F3 for this tiny little thing is a joke. Real world F3 is around 26hz ... not bad, but not any better than a $300 RSL Speedwoofer 10e.

So, if you're willing to pay 5x as much just to get a smaller prettier form factor, just know what you're getting with your $1520. A decent sub for music, average for movies.

Nice discussion here: https://www.avsforum.com/threads/...6/#replies

These sound great in small rooms. Anything more than 12x12 and you're going to need something bigger.

Seems to be way overpriced for what it does. Most likely you'd be paying for the brand name and marketing.

I have the KEF LS50 Wireless IIs and have been waiting on this to go on sale. I have researched the hell out of whether I should go with an equivalent sub for much cheaper, that likely will perform as well, but I'm going to lean on KEF just getting it fully integrated out of the box in terms of sound/tuning, etc. My room is about 10'x12'x7' ceiling. The LS50's sound a bit "empty" unless I am really blasting them, and I think adding the lower ranges with this little guy will make a huge difference. I realize this is not a technical approach to this decision, but it's where I've landed.

Definitely is! And long in tooth. Even though sub tech doesn't change much, there's no reason for this to me so expensive. I had it 4 years ago (cheaper back then) and wasn't impressed.. maybe for $500 max, but you can do much better for the money and for a lot less too

JESUS! An RSL, SVS, or HSU will kill this in performance at a $400-$600 price range.

You do you, but this does not look like a lot of subwoofer for a lot of money. For not a lot more then this little dink, I have 45" worth of woofer with a lot more capabilities. I suspect this sounds nice, but underwhelming for $1500.
