I've got this. It's worked fine. Some notes:
  • If you have hard water, I recommend a little in-line filter in the middle to bring down deposits a bit. You'll still need to clean cycle monthly with vinegar.
  • Filling the tank CAN be a little annoying, but as long as you've kind of got a rotation and expectation for when it typically needs it, it quickly becomes a pretty non-issue.
  • The air that comes out that right fan hole is WARM. I recommend good space on the right of it.
I dunno what else to say. Makes ice. Does a good job. I gotta clean it monthly. The end.

I also have this. I bought it on Temu about 6 months ago, funn enough. It is going well and it works great. It is exactly what other poster said, the fan on the right is pretty warm so it cannot hug a wall say, on the left side of your fridge.

Also, it only stays cold because the ice it makes self cool the unit, but as ice melts into the lower basin, it circulates it back up to make more ice.

So, I personally love it, but it can be a bit noisy when running max production, the fan is hot, and you have to manually refill. It takes me about 60 seconds to refill the container from my fridge door water, so no big deal. I do have a reverse osmosis filter on the water line, and double filtered with fridge filter to get that charcoal crisp taste too. No complaints so far, but I think I might invest in a higher end ice maker next time that I can attach direct to a water line as I literally use this ice so much more now than my cube ice in the fridge, and even the kids on my street that come over to hang with my kids all ask for this ice and prefer it, and get excited over it that my house has become known as the "nugget ice" house by the kids. But, refilling daily is kind of tedious lol. If you don't anticipate that much usage that's probably a non issue.

Also, it legit makes sense ice crazy fast. I will have the whole bucket filled from nothing to full probably in 90 minutes or less.

somewhat related.. in Arizona, I bought the current one on sale at Costco.. I don't know if it's a brand thing, but the Costco one claims to make nuggets.. but probably due to the hard water in Arizona, it makes slushie ice.

Like $120, but I had a 30% off coupon. I usually see it around $150. I would think you probably have better buyer protections on Walmart though... not sure.

sounds great until you realize these are mold machines and require pretty frequent cleanings so mold doesnt form

Yeah, stay on top of your cleaning with these; it makes decent ice, but can mold quickly.
