Don't expect any software upgrades or patches. Motorola is the worst of all the major cell phone makers at this. If you care at all about security, this isn't the phone for you.
FWIW, I own this phone. Custom ROMs used to exist for older Motorola devices, but recently, those teams seem to only bother with Pixel and high end Samsung devices.
This phone is great for when you factory reset before every trip and take it internationally without any connection to any of your normal accounts. No email. No social networks. No data. Basically, when you want a phone to look up local information, but don't have anything important or personally identifiable on it.

Don't stop at Motorola. Their parent company, Lenovo, is equally as bad. Phones, tablets, handheld PCs...look at the forums/chats about any of their products and you get to see how absolutely atrocious they are with updates and fixes.

Stores are really trying super hard to get rid of their G Power 2024 inventory. This specific phone has been on sale numerous times from QVC to Best Buy to Walmart at ridiculously low prices and they still haven't managed to sell all their stock. Really good phone for the price as long as you don't mind the lack of updates and below average cameras.

MediaTek is basically a non-starter today for LineageOS. Shame as it has an unlockable bootloader.

Different phone completely. Compare name and specs again.

Moto G 5G 2024 /= Moto G Power 5G 2024.

Do NOT attempt to flash that onto this phone.

Like I said, the phone you linked uses a Qualcomm CPU, not MediaTek, which the phone in this deal uses.
